It’s been a rocky start to 2024: Just a week into the new year, I got Covid, which I had somehow managed to avoid until now. Of course, this coincided with one of the busiest dance weekends of the year, and I had to miss a bunch of stuff I was looking forward to. (Already plenty of contenders for the next Top 10 Shows I Didn’t See This Year.) That little setback is also why this edition of Danceletter Picks is arriving a few days behind schedule — with thanks for your patience and understanding.
I’m grateful that I had a relatively mild Covid case and am feeling almost back to normal. Here’s what I hope to see this week and next if my recovery continues apace. (Note that some of what I wrote about last time also continues through this weekend.)
